Dr. Humera Chowdhary, M.D.
Board Certified Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist
Dr. Chowdhary provides exceptional care for children and adolescents. She focuses on early childhood development and building resilience to address early childhood experiences that may be traumatic and/or disturbing. Dr. Chowdhary has been in practice in the Denton area since 2007. She moved her practice closer to serve people in the Plano and Frisco area, where she opened her new office in May 2013.
Dr. Chowdhary completed her psychiatric residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She completed her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry through UT Southwestern and Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. During this time, she was awarded the Best Teaching Resident Award.
She and her husband have four children. She enjoys traveling, cooking, and gardening.
Linh Tran, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Linh is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She comes to us with over 10 years’ experience in nursing. Linh became a Registered Nurse in 2008 and has extensive experience in a variety of specialties, including critical care, recovery, and rehabilitation. Linh is passionate about educating patients and families about mental health. She firmly believes that patients have a choice in their care. Therefore, Linh strives to use her knowledge as a PMHNP to assist her patients in making the best choice for their mental health.
Linh is happily married to her husband of 21 years. They have one son and two dogs. She is a foodie and loves spending time with her family.
Lyn Tunstall, MSN, FNP-C
Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Lyn Tunstall earned Bachelors’ degrees in Biological Sciences and Nursing before completing her Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) program at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. Lyn is currently completing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at University of Texas at Arlington. Before deciding to relocate to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, she was a passionate caregiver within the Lourdes Health System gaining valuable experience in various specialties including critical care, surgery, mental health and bariatric medicine. Out of all those specialties, Lyn found her passion for mental health, working in a variety of domains such as acute psychiatric care, addiction medicine, and pediatrics.
Spending the majority of her nursing career in the fast-paced hospital setting, Lyn felt her advanced nursing knowledge would be best utilized in the community by helping to keep people in their homes and out of the hospital. She is dedicated to providing a positive patient experience, by educating and encouraging people to become proactive with their health, in order to live a more healthy and productive life.
