Dr. Humera Chowdhary, M.D.

Board Certified Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist

Dr. Chowdhary provides exceptional care for children and adolescents. She focuses on early childhood development and building resilience to address early childhood experiences that may be traumatic and/or disturbing. Dr. Chowdhary has been in practice in the Denton area since 2007. She moved her practice closer to serve people in the Plano and Frisco area, where she opened her new office in May 2013.

Dr. Chowdhary completed her psychiatric residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She completed her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry through UT Southwestern and Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. During this time, she was awarded the Best Teaching Resident Award.

She and her husband have four children. She enjoys traveling, cooking, and gardening.
